The 10 Plagues is remembered during the Feast of Passover as a cautionary tale against the evils of slavery and injustice. It is not just harmful to those oppressed, but also a curse to those in power who harden their hearts, and indeed the whole nation in which such injustice is allowed.
When Pharoah had multiple warnings about the cruelty of the enslavement of the Hebrews, he hardened his heart. Each plague was prophesied by Moses and Aaron, and Pharoah refused to change. During each plague, he promised to let the Hebrews go, but when it was done, did not keep his promise until the 10th plague. We recommend finding or creating your own figures to go with this Diorama. For example, Brenda Ponney created free printable finger puppets and coloring pages at the Tori Avey blog.
