Meet the Team

***Meagen Farrell is a catechist, woodworker, and chicken lady who lives with her husband and boys in small town Jefferson, Ohio, within walking distance of her local Catholic parish. As Sole Proprietor of Mustard Seed Training, please reach out to her with any customer service questions at learn@mustseed.org or 216.973.4977.

Meagen earned her BA in Religion from Oberlin College, and MA in Theology and Religious Studies from John Carroll University, but has spent most of her career in the field of adult basic education and high school equivalency preparation. She is currently certified in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) levels I & II. After helping get CGS atria started in 3 different congregations in rural Ashtabula County Ohio, Meagen responded to the call to share her materials with other catechists looking to get started.

***Seamstress Ann Marie Darby is a homeschooling mother of eight who has managed to carve out her own private sewing room. She sews CGS materials in between projects for her local parish, Scouts, 4H, public library, and active family farm. She received her BSN from College of Mount St Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her contributions are marked with the sub-brand "Mustard Seed Sewing" and a yellow background on photos, and her husband John volunteers as our product photographer.

***David Gildersleeve makes lovely Nativities and unique items from reclaimed school furniture & barn siding. He hand-crafts each piece in his home workshop/eyrie in rural Ashtabula County, Ohio and enjoys craft shows with his hand-quilting wife Janie. Your Nativity figures should not fall apart, but if they ever do or are less than satisfactory, David provides a lifetime guarantee... limited to his lifetime!

***Woodworker Thomas Polak is father of several atrium children and incorporates woodworking as a counselor at Grand River Academy. Thomas is partnering with designer Wyatt Bratt to launch a coffee house and woodworking studio in order to refurbish local landmarks in historic Austinburg, Ohio.
